Dear pilots, dear visitors,
August 18th 2020 marks an unparalled date for #flywoh and the flight simulation community!
On this day, #flywoh celebrates its 20th birthday and the new Mircosoft Flight Simulator will be released.
It is a joy for us, that we have two reasons for celebrating this memorable date.
20 years ago, charterair VA, the founding member of #flywoh, has been established with one Boeing B737-800. At that time, we have used Flight Simulator 2000 for our operations. Since then, a lot has happened. We grew up to seven virtual airlines with about 850 aircrafts, worldwide hubs and about 300 pilots.
We have been flying through several transformations and we would like to take the opportunity to cordially thank everybody who has contributed to #flywoh within the last two decades. Thanks to all the staff and board members who have shaped what #flywoh is today and thanks to every pilot for flying safely our virtual guests to destinations around the globe.
Today will also be the next milestone for #flywoh. With the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, we are happy to announce, that we will fully support operations with this new simulator. We are convinced, that MFS2020 will be the future in flight simulation and we will support its spread across the community. For sure, we will also continue to support our FSX, P3D and XPlane pilots.
To celebrate this date, we would also like to invite you to our VATSIM Groupflight from Palma de Mallorca to Kassel. We meet at 1700z (1900 CET) on our Teamspeak Server.
We are looking forward to the future of #flywoh together with MFS2020!

der 18. August 2020 ist ein ganz besonderes Datum für unsere #flywoh und die Flugsimulations-Gemeinschaft!
An diesem Tag feiert die #flywoh ihren 20. Geburtstag und der neue Microsoft Flight Simulator wird veröffentlicht.
Es ist uns eine besondere Freude, an diesem bemerkenswerten Tag zwei Gründe zum Feiern zu haben.
Vor 20 Jahren wurde unsere charterair VA, das Gründungsmitglied der #flywoh mit einer Boeing B737-800 ins Leben gerufen. Zu dieser Zeit haben wir den Flugsimulator 2000 für unseren Flugbetrieb genutzt. Seitdem ist eine Menge passiert. Wir sind zu einer Airlinegruppe mit sieben virtuellen Airlines, ca. 850 Flugzeugen, weltweiten Drehkreuzen und ungefähr 300 Piloten gewachsen.
In dieser Zeit sind wir durch zahlreiche Transformationen geflogen und haben uns immer wieder neu erfunden. Deshalb möchten wir die Gelegenheit nutzen und uns bei allen bedanken, die zum Erfolg der #flywoh in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten beigetragen haben. Lieben Dank an alle Staff- und Boardmitglieder, die unsere #flywoh zu dem gemacht habe, was sie heute ist. Vielen Dank auch an alle Piloten, die unsere virtuellen Gäste sicher zu Zielen rund um die Welt geflogen haben.
Heute ist auch ein weiterer Meilenstein für unsere #flywoh. Mit der Veröffentlichung des Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 freuen wir uns, bekannt geben zu dürfen, dass wir den Fugbetrieb mit dem neuen Flugsimulator vollständig unterstützen werden. Wir sind davon überzeugt, dass der MFS2020 die Zukunft der Flugsimulation sein wird und wir unterstützen die Verbreitung innerhalb der Flugsimulationsgemeinschaft! Natürlich werden wir auch weiterhin FSX, P3D und XPlane Piloten unterstützen.
Um dieses besondere Datum würdig zu feiern, laden wir Euch heute zu einem Gruppenflug von Palma de Mallorca nach Kassel ein. Start ist um 1700z bzw. 1900 CET auf unserem Teamspeak Server.
Wir freuen uns auf die Zukunft der #flywoh zusammen mit dem MFS2020!
